Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers the wonderful flexibility of having a quiet space for relaxing alongside the main function room and outside balcony. The rooms, however, were very small considering the price paid for the stay and were directly opposite the main lift in a small corridor, leading to disturbances until late night. The view of the fells added a nice touch to the ambiance.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was lovely, overlooking Kendal and the castle, but the room was rather dark and damp, making it challenging to sleep comfortably. The service was friendly, especially the breakfast crew, but there were some issues with the basic room amenities. The dining was a mix of overpriced options and excellent selections, and the facilities were satisfactory overall.
The hotel is set in a stunning location, right at the entrance of the Lake District National Park. The rooms were comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. The staff went above and beyond for us, although there were some issues with the dining experience. The grounds are immaculate, and it's within walking distance of Kendal.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, but the early morning noise was a downside. The staff was exceptional and even lent me a wheelchair for exploring the town, which was a nice touch. However, the room felt rather dark during my stay.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. While the breakfasts were very enjoyable and the location offered lovely scenery, the rooms were damp and had a terrible smell, making it hard to sleep. The staff, although friendly and helpful, were not very attentive at check-in. Overall, a mixed experience.
